Citrix Sharefile - any user feedback

There has been a lot of discussion recently about portals etc.

Didn't find your answer?

Hi all,

There has been a lot of discussion on AW recently about portals , secure email etc. I wonder is anybody using Citrix Sharefile. It seems to offer some nice options like encrypted email, shared client folders ( essentially a portal). There is an add-in for Outlook ( although it does, for me anyway, slow down the initial opening up Outlook)

They also have an integrated e-signing option although I found that less attractive in that it sends links to the relevant document via email. That seems to me to defeat the purpose as it means that if the email is anyway compromised then the document is readily accessible via the link. There is a passcode option but it seems only to apply to the initial (to be signed ) email.

I'd love to hear anyone else's experience.

We use Sharefile mainly for the encrypted email function as we send draft accounts and tax returns by email but encrypt them before we send.

We are looking to roll out the portal and put signed accounts, tax returns etc in client folders for clients to access themselves at any time. Plus enabling clients to upload documents to us securely (we have used IRIS openspace to date but have moved away from the IRIS suite to taxcalc and although we could still use IRIS openspace we think Sharefile is more user friendly.)

We dont use the electronic signature part of the software as was too expensive and we have used Hellosign for a few years for getting documents electronically signed.

Thanks for your reply.

Is it possible with HelloSign to ensure that any emailed links must always require a password before accessing e.g. tax returns ? even copies sent out by HelloSign to the clients (i.e. signers) after signature is completed ?
