CJRS - for security reasons service reset message

After I had completed the claim.

Didn't find your answer?

Just completed a CJRS application  and have the claim submission confirmation reference.

Took a phone call and came back to the HMRC screen and found this message. Anyone else had this?   Its the 'details deleted' part Im worried about!

''For your security, this service has been reset.   The details you have given have been deleted because you did not continue the service for 15 minutes''

The original instructions did say you'd be logged out if you were inactive for 15 minutes.

Just let the phone ring out.

Fair enough Lion, but I had submitted the claim and received a claim reference, so considered it finished.

Is that because you're not grinning like cats are supposed to in your locale?

I think your claim is fine, your computer doesn't send or do anything else after that point, you can go straight from there to any other page, it's just the timeout on your account login.

At least I hope that's the case because I've had that message at least a dozen times this week, and I'm assuming it's all fine.

Just a thought, if you're really worried you can go and try to submit again, I have heard from someone who made a fairly significant misjudgement that if you go back and try to enter a claim period that's already part of an active claim, you will be denied, so you'll find out pretty quickly if they've binned your claim or not.

Good idea Duggimon- a fail-safe - because OP you'll be locked out of an already submitted period if it overlaps even by so much as a day. Belt and Braces approach (or should that be Belt and Bracers - I'm never quite sure which. Is there a Northerner in the House?)

Cheshire Cat, I've made a similar rookie-error by leaving my browser lingering on the Return to Home screen, and abandoning my post. I can happily report that it's no matter, because everything is on-track once you've been issued with a claim reference number.

You're absolutely fine J, I got that message after I completed the first one last week, after I clicked back on the browser accidentally. Cool avatar btw.

ISIHAC, it's belt and braces.

I've had this message several times too, but as I had received the reference number of the claim didn't worry.

I've also had that after claim submission. It's to enable you to submit another claim. If you don't it's just telling you to go away after 15 mins and stop blocking the portal
