CJRS - NOVEMBER CLAIMs CALCULATION

CONFUSION ON REFERENCE PAY

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

Would really appreciate some guidance on how to calculate the furlough claims. Workers were employed before 4/19 and were furloughed in 3/20 to 7/20. They started working from 8/20 to 10/20 (on variable rates). Would the calculation of furlough pay be based on average of 8/20-10/20 pay OR based on previous furlough calculation (pre 2019/20). HMRC calculator does not seem to be work if there has been furloughed pay in 3/20 (is this right?)

Many thanks

Based on the earlier calculation. So if you are using same, your Furlough calculation will be the same as May for example. And if I were you I would forget the calculator and do manual. Its a hopeless clunky thing that cant think outside the box thats for sure.
But dont forget to balance it against the quivalent of same month last year if they were employed then

If furloughed last March 20: Higher of same month last year or average 19/20 (This would be calculated already to check figure used in Aug) x 80%
