Client accounts not updating on HMRC website?

Tax returns filed tax not updated

Didn't find your answer?

We have filed 3 tax returns in the last 10 days, all owing tax. HMRC website says no tax is due. Clients need tax overviews. Anyone else having similar problems?

Yes, same here, I've submitted circa 20 tax returns and 1 is stuck like this. The one needing the overview.....

Spoke to HMRC this morning regarding the same issue.

Advisor on the phone advised that returns that contained SEISS income are not yet being captured and expect these to be done by the 5th July according to their "guidance", therefore the tax calculations are not showing up on tax overviews.

I advised that I have clients which received the grants and declared them and have received refunds/ paid liabilities but they are unable to give further guidance.

Seems to be they are checking some returns which contained SEISS income, have clients that need their tax overviews as they are going for mortgages etc advised this and they said its not essential and will have to wait to the date given.

Could always tell HMRC to do what SA is all about - process now, check later, and if they don't like the SEISS figures to open an enquiry after the event.

Perhaps a judicial review into HMRC's processes is in order.

Filed one yesterday - including SEISS, and processed by this morning, so I've had none to resolve.

Got 3 like this.
They've been referred to Technical Dept.
"...not been captured... blah blah"
