Client has received a request to report and pay for 18/19, and also a request for a tax return for that year to be submitted by the middle of September. Firstly, they were "properly" employed by the NHS and secondly a return for this year has been submitted . Not having had anything to do with this before, I just wondered if the letter was a phising scam, mainly because the phone is permanetly engaged and there is an email address given (Not like HMRC to be that helpful). Surely, they would know that a return had been submitted, also where do they get the information from?
Before I fire off an email to them, any pointers would be gratefully received
