Hi, we are currently looking into a potential new business / accounts software for a client.

As well as the standard accounts functions (I.e sage instant accounts), the clients wants the ability to track all revenue and costs attached to individual jobs / sales / deals. Typically there could be up to 50 jobs in a month each with a unique reference.

Can anyone recommend software that could do the same as say sage instant accounts but also have the above functionality?

Xero has been mentioned

Any help will be appreciated.

I am sure there will be many solutions to this but Quickbooks certainly has functionality to track income and expenditure by "job". Jobs are created against customers and then sales invoices and costs incurred can be allocated to the job. There is then job profitablity reporting.

QB for me too

I'd also be suggesting Quickbooks if it were my client.  Excellent reporting of job profitability etc and very easy to use.

QuickBooks will do what you want

This is good on the desktop version (QuickBooks 2015 now out) but also applies to the Plus grade of the online version of the software if your client wanted to go that route.
