Client too ill to review tax return

What would you do?

Didn't find your answer?

I have decided to give up my PC, and have one last tax return out for signing. However, client is recovering from major surgery and has asked for extra time to review their return - understandably it's not a priority for them just now. It's been a couple of weeks now, and I'm mindful that my PC will lapse on 31 December 2019.

What would you do in my situation? Line up someone else to lodge for them if after 31st?

I don't want to cause them unneccessary stress given the situation.

Are you not over thinking this a bit? File the return and then amend it later if necessary. Not sure your PC status would have any bearing if your work is substantially complete with the part now required being the equivalent of sticking it in an envelope?

Not sure anybody will be bothered, Dug.

Make sure you issue your bill before 31st December, though.

Send client a get well soon card and explain the options to same client.
