I work for a law firm and a client we have provided a will for has requested that we resubmit his bill, but address it to his companycompany, rather than to himself.
Is this allowed? The services have been provided to him, not his company. I know it is so he can claim back VAT.
Thank you

Yes - you can change the address on the invoice to have it paid by a third party BUT you should make it clear on the face of the invoice that it relates to services provided to the director in his personal capacity. The company cannot reclaim the VAT and the cost (inc VAT) is a BIK. David Winch will comment more authoritatively - but you may want to look at Criminal Finances Act 2017?
The sensible thing might be just to advise him that the VAT is not reclaimable. Leave the bill addressed to him. If the company pays you that's fine. (How the company accounts for its payment to you is not your problem.)

Thanks David.
Sometimes the name of the payer is required on the invoice so that credit control chase the right person. If it's been agreed that eg the company will pay, having credit control chase the director gets the director's back up!
