Client's representative

Client's representative

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

I've got a new client. The engagement letter was signed by the client, but he informed me that he has a person who deals with all his affairs (that person is not part of the client's company,I believe there is a separate arrangement between them).

It means that the representative is going to be my first point of contact - he will be providing me with paperwork, answering my queries and even pay my bills on behalf of the client.

Have you ever experienced such arrangements?

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Many thanks

Yes we have
Not long ago we had a Celebrity Chef as a client and while our contract was with him, his agent (a ltd co ) dealt with everything. We seldom met him as his accountants. I met him personally on a social level because we were friends. He has now settled on the States

Was there any additional agreement between you and the client stating that the agent can have access to documents, information etc?
