We love using Payroll Manager however since CV19 we are having some operation issues given it's installed on a desktop PC at HQ. Every time we need to access remotely we need a colleague who is located at the office to hand over control on a screen share. It works, but I am wondering has anyone managed to get a copy of Payroll Manager to run in on the cloud or connect to hoasted cloud files?

I have my data file on my one drive and use it from a few locations without an issue. I don't ever run more than one copy at a time however
You could remote in with say Chrome Remote DeskTop.Every time we need to access remotely we need a colleague who is located at the office to hand over control on a screen share.
Not the answer, but solves your current issue, why can't you just set up a Windows remote access? Then all you need is to leave the host pc turned on..
We put the data files into a shared dropbox drive. We can then access it anywhere anytime. There is a problem if two of us access the same client at the same time but this is very rate and creates a conflicted file.
It its very easy to host this application, you just need the datafile shared on the network and the application installed locally on your PC. To access it remotely you can either connect your PC to the network in the office via a VPN, or better use remote desktop services to connect and run it on your office server. If you need any further help drop me a message. Thanks
We use Splashtop. From my computer Including our payroll laptop I can access The Splashtop streamer installed on every computer in the office. (That brick thing we used to go to).
Streamer first time set up requires someone there. After that - do it yourself.
There’s a free trial.
If you shift to a cloud first solution with something like Remote Desktop now called Windows Virtual Desktop everyone can work remotely. You then don't need to work about the equipment back in HQ.
