Comfirmation Statement Date

Late statement for a restoration application

Didn't find your answer?

I am submitting form RT01 on behalf of my client to administratively restore a company to the register, and gathering together the necessary documents to send with the application.

The company's confirmation statement would have been due to have been made to 19 May 2019, but as the statement was never submitted, Companies House dissolved the company.

I will include a copy of the outstanding form CS01 (Confirmation Statement) with the application. However, the form states that it must be submitted within 14 days of the date on the confirmation statement. So I am not sure whether to put the date as 19 May 2019 (as we are obviously more than 14 days after that date!) or today's date (although then it doesn't really seem to be a submission of an overdue confirmation statement).

I would usually just call Companies House and ask them - but their phone lines are not currently manned, and they are apparently taking many days to get back to e-mail queries.

Apologies if the answer to this question should be obvious - but I'm really not sure and I don't want to have the application rejected on such a technicality.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

If the company in question was incorporated on the 20th May 2018 then the first confirmation statement date was 19th May 2019. When restoring a company you are providing the documents which should have been provided at the time - not ones for today.
