In my experience Companies House is much like HMRC. Their office are closed, staff working from home and everything taking for ever to deal with. Oddly enough they say they are getting more phone calls than usual and their lines are very busy. I did manage to get through on the phone at 5.45 in the evening but just got someone who was unable to answer queries and just said to email in. I think it is quite possibly the response to most phone calls.

Government department. Government don't want to talk to people.

I think I have sorted the problem. My two Companies House log in details can't be used for following - one account for invoices and one account for clients.
It appears I have to use WebCheck, ask to follow and then I get an error message asking me to set up a new account. They seem to have changed their system but are trying to pretend they haven't changed it!

I did get through yesterday after holding on for around 30 minutes. Delay is due to staff WFH. Adviser managed to resolve my problem.

I was given the same excuse from HMRC. I said that I work from home and I'm doing the same amount of work. He then said that the delay in VAT registrations (100 days) is due to Brexit and EU businesses registering for VAT in the UK. Then he told me that HMRC sent the VAT documentation out on 15/06/21 even though I submitted the application on 14/06/21. Client hasn't contacted me and I haven't received any VAT documentation.
