Companies House Client List Disappeared

Logged in to Companies House today to file a confirmation statement but client list has disappeared!

I logged into Companies House earlier to file a confirmation statement for a client.  However, my list of clients has now totally disappeared!  Have Companies House changed things in recent weeks?  Has anyone else found their client list has vanished at Companies House?  As it was, I had to add every client individualy to my list of clients at Companies House in the autumn, and I won't be happy if I have to do it all over again 6 months later, if Companies House have changed things yet again.  I can't even get back in to check at the moment, (just in case it was gremlins), as my emails are messing around, so I can't enter the security code to log in to Companies House!  Monday mornings...

The same thing has happened to me. If they don't reinstate them, I won't bother re-entering them, I'll just file documents one by one the old way (which is just as fast).

They may be updating their website, or it may be down? I have been unable to log in to file a confirmation statement .

Same.

I have three to do, website would not let me log in.

I tried phoning them this morning, message on phone was that they were busy, try again later, then it hung up.

Not very impressive but will give them the benefit of the doubt as usually have found Co Hse easy to deal with and generally very helpful.

Thanks both, that's interesting to know. I could initially log in, but can't even do that now. It's annoying as I wanted to file two confirmation statements today.

I have been having problems for a few days now. Even when I do manage to login I then get the "Sorry, there is a problem with the service" message. Thankfully there are a few days before any crucial deadlines but it is still a pain and needs to be resolved asap.

A few days, crumbs! It's not good enough, considering there is only a two week window (approx) to file the confirmation statement.

If you are ever struggling to login there is a cheat to get you staright to filing in similar fashion to how it used to be (albeit you need to logout after each filing)

click file your statements
click start now
click I need to file a charge (mortgage) document using a lender authentication code

this may allow you to login even if you are having issues with the official login route that has 2fa.

I'm not at all sure what the latest incarnation set out to improve. The wait time, for the printing facility, which of course can include conversion to PDF, is unbelievably clunky.
Another Government agency way past its sell-by date. And, they live to raise penalties.
There again - mustn't grumble.

I had the error message first thing this morning. It let me in eventually, but slowwwwly.

Client list disappeared... same as others here. So I filed using the client company's authentication code, as if I was the client.

Thanks. I really hope that my client list hasn't disappeared. I'm not sure that I can file as if I was the client. I'll try again tomorrow morning, and see what happens.

They seem to be implementing a new system and you need to add your existing clients to the new system. Unfortunately under the new system it takes longer to do a Confirmation Statement as you have to work your way through a series of check boxes and the system will no longer let you pay by "by account" and you have to use a credit/debit card. Not exactly progress......

Thanks. This is what I did back in September, but when I was last able to access the site this morning, the list that I created has gone! Annoyingly, I still can't get into the site to check, in case the list magically re-appears!

I haven't used for a few days so no issues to report, but just to say even on the new system I am able to pay on "account".

My biggest issue is getting to the correct place as I seem to have logins to both old and new systems and never quite know which link I'm following...
Once I'm in I like the list as I don't have to go hunt the authentication codes - I know it's not alphabetical but you can search the list.

Hopefully whatever is going on, they'll decide to include a way to sort company lists in to alphabetical order as opposed to order of addition, very annoying.

I never set up a client list. Waste of time - it's easy enough to file from the company number.

Thankfully, I can now log in to the Companies House site, and the client list has now reappeared. Phew!

Happened to me yesterday - no client list. Whose bright idea was it not to sort them either alphabetically or by company number, by the way?

I have managed to submit the confirmation statement today and the client list has reappeared. I also was able to use my account instead of paying directly.

I would never rely on public sector software for my client filing. Just as I don't use HMRC's systems to file tax returns, I don't use Companies House's systems to file confirmation statements and other statutory documents. Instead, I use Inform Direct, which is cheap and very easy to use. You also get a dashboard which shows all your companies' deadlines at a glance.

Exactly as Charlie says. We use Companies Made Simple.

There's no one one of these commercial businesses would subject users to the sort of debacle that Companies House have done, and is common on nearly all government systems.
