Companies House - Signature

Is an actual signature required?

Didn't find your answer?

I have to do an administrative restoration for a company (RT01). Need to submit accounts but the client is abroad and poor at admin etc. He has previousy signed other forms. Is there a way to do this without him physically signing the outstanding accounts. Would Companies House accept a print out of an Adobe e signature? Thanks

‘No’ in a word. I spoke to them re exactly the same scenario, they would only accept a physical signature, albeit emailed from client to me and printed out.

Email to client, they print sign, scan & email, you print & post.

Not entirely sure of the logic behind that being ok and DocuSign (other e-signing softwares are available) not being ok but what can you do?

That is very useful so thanks for that. I will double check with them before I do it in case they have revised things. A lot quicker than sending to the states and waiting for it to come back. Thanks again
