Company dissolved, can it be restored?

Frozen business account

Didn't find your answer?

Hi guys

My ltd company was dissolved voluntarily by myself the director via filling out a DS01 form (iirc).

Unfortunately I realised I left some funds in my business bank account l. That's been frozen and I have had a letter from the bank than I need to reinstate my business if I want to claims the funds as it's now the property of the crown. I have been left with 60 days to do this by.
I am worried about loosing my money. (Business money).

Has anyone got any advice on the matter? I know I have to go through the court route.

Thanks

How much money are you talking about? Company restoration will likely cost several hundred pounds and may take some time.

Hmmm, there are some companies that specialise in company restorations - ask your favourite search engine to look for "company restoration" and see what you can find. But be aware that you'll lose a fair chunk of that £3K in costs and fees.

It won't be worth restoring for £3k. As you did a voluntary strike off you would have to do a court restore which is a long expensive, with fees involved that will take most of that £3k

Can't you submit form RT01 to Companies House + £100 fee?

Not if one did a voluntary dissolution, that’s only for a compulsory dissolution by Companies House.

I had a client in a similar situation. But in their case, becuase banks' online accounts often allow business and personal accounts with the same bank to be accessed from the same login, they had unwittingly transferred a large amount of personal money into a business savings account. In this case the bank eventually accepted it had allowed this to happen and somehow managed to release the funds.

Oh thank you so much for that. Can you tell me if it's a very long winded process and how long did it take ?
