Company purchase of own shares

Applying for clearance

Just a quick question - when applying for clearance for company purchase of own shares, do you nornally also ask for transactions in securities clearance?

At a previous firm, it was automatic to both but where I am now, only the CPOS clearance is requested. Not sure whether I should suggest doing transactions in securities as well or is that overkill.

Would welcome any opinions

Thanks

We always do both. Since it is potentially caught by TiS, why wouldn't you want confirmation that it won't be?

Thanks for your response.

The CPOS clearance has already been obtained. Do you think it will look a bit odd if we now submit a TiS clearance?

I really can't say. But if you go ahead, I'd probably refer to the previous POOS clearance and explain that you had intended to request a TiS clearance but had failed to do so.

Personally, if POOS has already been given, I probably wouldn't bother with TiS now.
