Contacting HMRC now phone line closed

Hi all

With the SA phone line closed and the robot not being that useful, is my only option to write to HMRC by post now?  Can I email re SA?  It seems a massive step backward.

The Agent Dedicated Line is still open, I used it two days ago. It’s just individuals who can’t ring

i have found the chat very helpful, although they will now only answer self-assessment questions.

Ah thanks all. They chop and change and sometimes I get lost with what is going on. Agent's line working I am pleased to say and actually quite effective today and the hold time was not too bad either.

Got through at 2.29pm so 35 minutes wait in the end.

Wonder how many of the other 273 got a 'resolution' in that 1/2 hour?

For that matter, did you (as getting through in itself solves nothing)?
