I am a contractor operating through a limited company where I am the sole director. I am currently between contracts so I have furloughed myself from 28 March (my last contract ended on 27 March).
I previously claimed 80% of my salary for April and May (28 March to 31 May to be exact) and I am currently trying to extend the claim period to include June. My questions are as follows:
1) When I log onto the government website, under "previous claims" it says that I only claimed to 5 May. This is not true as I claimed to May 31st. However, the claim amount is correct. If I now make a claim from 1 June to 30 June, is the gap (from 5 May to 31 May) likely to cause me a problem?
2) Today I tried to claim for the month of June. However, I got an error message saying that I cannot make a claim where the end date is more than 14 days ahead of today's date. Does this sound reasonable? I am slightly concerned concerned that 10 June appears to be a key date for making a first claim for a furloughed employee. Slightly worried that because I now have a gap, I might be treated as a new furlough employee?
Thanks for your help.

1 Is it possible you made an error ? Alternatively, your pay day might not be at the end of the month.
2 14 days before the end of the period is correct.
10th June is the date that someone would need to be furloughed by to fit 3 weeks in before the end of the first phase. The claim process date is different, that is what has to be within 14 days.
