Corporate Tax eFiling - UTR in e-mail receipt

UTR partially obscured in e-mail receipt for CT eFiling

Didn't find your answer?

In the e-mail receipts for Corporate Tax eFiling received from yesterday afternoon the UTR is partially obscured - the first five digits are appearing as *****. Has anyone else noticed this, and did you know it was going to happen?

Since that's the only part of the message that would be considered personal data I expect this is their bodge around GDPR rather than making a properly secure system for gateway communications.

e: either that or there's something wrong your end as I've not seen it do this!

We're now getting partially redacted UTRs on our submission receipts

Glad it's not just us!

Strange that it is only the CT receipts where the UTR is partially redacted; the SA receipts still show the full UTR.

I'm sure the Revenue won't have any objection to us also using the same system to partially hide the UTR & NI numbers of anything we send to them - if we are to be expected to work out who it relates to from the partial number, surely they can too?!
