HMRC are quoting periods of three months, now. How on earth can that be right in the modern computerised age.
No amount of incredulity seemed to phase them.

It's one way traffic with computer efficiency, I'm afraid.
It's a small variation on the usual fuss about how long it takes large organisations to pay small ones. You know, that one where every so often a member of the government will pop up and say how unacceptable it is.
Unjust enrichment is a one way street.
Like much of Government policy.
My Ltd company was due a CT refund from the 2016 year's CT for a loss for the 2017 year. We received the refund in a few weeks.
Longest we've had is a full year. Three months sounds pretty good compared to that.
