I came to open one of the Moneysoft files and got a message saying it was corrupted and couldn't be opened.
I restored it from back-up but, unfortunately, since the back-up was created, I've filed the RTI. Now the software thinks I haven't filed.
Can I correct this ? If not, I'm not sure I'll be able to file August's RTI without refiling July. Which I'd rather not do.

I had this following a power cut and, like you restored from the back up. I filed the following month with no problem. I had the email confirmation should a query arise. These are something I always file in DropBox or similar so always have a copy if everything else blows up or disappears!
Lion, this helped me yesterday.

Having recently downloaded the latest McAfee total protection and, almost convinced that this would have some bearing on this isolated issue, I disabled the McAfee Firewall. The issue was resolved but this appears to be a more widespread update topic, than I first imagined.
When you come to file the correct return Moneysoft will show up a warning along the lines of
"There is an earlier return that should be submitted first. If you submit this return you cannot go back and submit earlier returns, and you may be fined by HMRC for missing a return. Are you sure you want to submit this return"
As you know the previous return was filed correctly you can just go ahead and file, ignoring the one it thinks wasn't done.
Of course you will have the yellow lightning bolt until you do that which would do my OCD in, but hey ho, that's probably just me.
fair enough , when i have resubmiteed the due to the client changing all the figures it does sometimes confuse HMRC who want more PAYE NI SL payments so perhaps best just to file August. thank god for moneysoft anyway
