This is one of those questions where I think I know the answer but just want some reassurance about it.
I have a first year non trade holding company that 100% owns another trading company - its not dormant thus there are accounts done for it as there are intercompany transactions but it does not have any income from trade - I think I should not have to do a CT600 for this company ?
Thanks

Rather than reposting the same question, perhaps you could tell us why you believe no CT600 is required.
You “think” you know the answer. On what basis do you think that? Legislation? HMRC manuals?
omg I am so sorry that I am not technically as savvy as you or others - do you have to be so rude and just wondered would you actually speak to someone's face like that - if not, maybe don't be so rude on here - if so - you must have had a few punches in the face by now.
I could explain how that happened but not to you cause your not worth the effort.
I wasn’t being rude. I was asking what your thoughts were based on.
And I don’t think threats of violence give a particularly professional image.
Hi Willow,
With all due respect - having read David's reply twice I cannot see he was rude. Had you heard him say the words to your face I have no doubt you also would not have interpreted it as such - written words taking on a different meaning as they come without the benefit of sound and sight. Likewise, you did not threaten him with violence, but it did seem as if you took a simple (and professional) question very personally...
You obviously did not apprentice in the 70s and 80s where comments from partners could be a lot more brutal, the point is valid, you seem to think no CT600 needed but do not state why you have this belief?
Does the holding co not have some costs, even if just £13 annual confirmation fee and accountant's fees? If it does do you wish to receive tax relief re these costs?
