Happy New Year folks! Did you survive 'Blue Monday'? I personally dread January and can't wait to see the back of it. Is anyone with me? In saying that I felt oddly upbeat yesterday. Maybe it's because we are halfway through my least favourite month of the year.

Roll on February..... oh wait, everything that has been deferred from Jan is happening in Feb!
Roll on March. Oh wait, that's y/e tax planning & Dec y/es.
Roll on April. Oh wait, that's chasing March y/es, SA clients etc.
Roll on May. Chances of having many March y/es in is pretty slim. Good job there's almost as many Dec y/e ltds.

I keep humming -
January, sick and tired, you've been hanging on me
You make me sad with your eyes
You're telling me lies
I'm not a fan of January but I haven’t found it too bad so far. I think it maybe because I'm not drinking my way through it like in previous years which has definitely made a difference. I’ve embraced dry January for the first time ever with the odd cheat day thrown in which I think is perfectly acceptable. Everything in moderation as they say. I also felt quite upbeat on 'Blue' Monday. Go figure?
Yes, I opted for a "slightly moist" January rather than a bone dry one. Started 3rd Jan, had one cheat day so far due to visit to top end restaurant. I couldn't sit through a slap up meal drinking sparkling water. Fine dining deserves fine wine, "the finest wines available to humanity" indeed.
Eh? January is great!
Crappy cold weather, dark days - more incentive to stay indoors crack on with work and watch the cash roll in!
More of the same next month and the one after, then lighten the workload as the summer comes along - wahoo!
January is the best month surely?. Sales figures are double other months.
How strange you don't like that.
I quite like January. I've stayed off the booze and as a result I feel great and I have loads of energy which helps this time of the year. I didn’t even notice blue Monday.
