Digita

Tax Return other than PDF

Didn't find your answer?

Got a client who can't open the PDF (no idea why). Digita always saved as pdf and Excel formats, which annoyed the hell out me, and I somehow fixed to get PDF only.

Now I need a Word or Excel version, and I'm blowed if I can figure out how.

Help!!!

Ermm. Please

Hmmm....gone into Digita but only seems to give the option to produce the backing schedules in Word under the "reports" option (Excel option now greyed out).

Will have a look at return options now, but think it may be a case of snail mail if client can't open pdf (have you emailed it to yourself to see if you can open the attachment?)

Yeah. No problem for me.

I know they will export in Excel. Just don't know what I did to disable it.

This was a previous May 2020 Digita solution to getting rid of the Excel option, so hoping it might help you get it back!:

"Solution: The production of the additional excel document is due to a registry key setting. This can be deleted, which should then stop the issue.
In the Windows Start menu search box, type Regedit and click on Regedit.exe.
You will need to expand HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG | Software and highlight Digita PDF Converter 45.
To the right of the screen you will have a list of items, one of which will be EXCEL Multisheets. Right click on this and select Delete, clicking Yes to the 'are you sure' message.
You will need to expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software and highlight Digita PDF Converter 60.
To the right of the screen you will have a list of items, one of which may be EXCEL Multisheets. Right click on this and select Delete, clicking Yes to the 'are you sure' message.
Deleting this registry key will not affect any other part of Personal Tax."

Nope,

I still have that key, but no Excel output of the return.

I've re-produced the PDF and sent that. Hoping it was just a glitch in the matrix.

You could always convert your PDF to another format, eg to a html file.
