Digita V Absolute

Digita V Absolute

Didn't find your answer?

Having used Digita for the last two years, I am not that impressed.  At the time I also looked at Asolute and find myself wondering if I made the wrong choice.  Any opinions?

Digita wasn't too bad.

The new 'advanced' package for FRS102 is terrible

Only ever used the personal tax for Digita and cannot fault it.

Sadly we too are wondering that. We found the Company Accounts software learning curve too steep and in the end use Taxfiler for Personal and Corporate Tax and ofcourse accounts.

It is a great shame because we went for the integrated route and this has not happened. By the way inform Direct for Company Secreatrial

I would say make sure that you use Digita Support properly and keep telling them if you are not finding the software easy to use or are still stuck. They have got very good support and account managers too but sometimes a strongly worded email/phone call is a good way to get their attention and a bit more support. Don`t be afraid to shout (in a nice way)! The software is excellent but it does take a little bit of time and effort to learn how to use it in the best and most efficient way. However, I`ve found that this training & implementation time and building relationships with the Digita team has more than paid off over the 7 years that I`ve worked with them.

Do you include DAPA in that assessment, or are you yet to suffer that particular program?

I've yet to experience DAPA. Sounds like it could be fun!

My biggest problem with Digita is the practice management. I purchased it as I wanted the control over our clients and running reports. For instance a list of all our sole traders or Limited companies, the fees we charge, when are accounts due etc. We have found after two years we still cannot figure any of this out. If we could copy and paste from it we would be laughing. But right now I feel we are paying a lot of money just for the accounts productions and tax elements. As we do not use it (due to it being complicated) as perhaps it should be used.

I'm currently trialling Glide for workflow control and have to say it is fairly easy to get up and running, with excellent support. Well worth a look.

I am in a similar position, I transferred to Digita from Sage about 2.5 years ago and I am becoming increasingly disillusioned with them. The FRS102 package and implemenattion has been woeful and the CoSec software doesn't work despite several re-launches. They are completely impervious to any complaints of requests for assistance and understanding.
