Do people find this useful from HMRC

Here is the current MTD downtime plan for the next few days. Is it a useful question?

Didn't find your answer?

This scheduled maintenance will impact Making Tax Digital (MTD) services for both VAT and ITSA, in order to incorporate updates.

THanks John, yes that is useful to know, whilst I don;t, some members do work the weekends, and the Monday outage is good to know now for work planning purposes.

Have you?

I havent.

Or perhaps its buried in amongst the 30 emails I get from HMRC every week and need to switch off as they bounce you around their site from one link to another.

Much better on here/better twice than not at all.

I did see Gordon's comment before he changed it. However, I will continue posting this sort of thing whilst some people find it useful. Taking out vat returns for all of Monday is unusual.

I am, however, grateful to Gordon for his comments about people who are doing handwritten accounts. It got me thinking about how to make things much easier for people such as someone today who is in his 80s and currently does handwritten accounts.

I did not realise that it was you who had commented and so I decided to put up a thought provoking comment . Once I realised it was you I removed the comment as I have found you helpful and understanding. Thank you .

As a developer of a free VAT MTD Bridging App (100PcVatFreeBridge), this is useful information. In the next release, we are planning to incorporate the dates / times into the App and warn users if the current time coincides. It would make more sense if this information was available direct from an HMRC server API endpoint, rather than having to translate from email to a a custom server endpoint but it is what it is.
