Document and email management systems ?

Choosing a new system - any comments?

Due to having remote workers, document and the associated workflow is becoming a bit of an issue. We currently use dropbox for storing files and emails - the latter causing more problems keeping track of email conversations if I'm not copied in and being updated on clients affairs etc.

I've had a demo with virtual cabine and quite like it though if I'm honest would like something a little more workflow orientated.

Does anyone use VC and have any comments good or bad about the system as the tie in for 2 years concerns me a little - I always find it's only when you use a system you actually know how good it is!

Any other suggestions either from anyone ?

I signed up to VC in March. We use Glide for our PM.

In February, I’m going to be looking at maybe changing our PM software to something that also has DMS and client portal functionality.

VC is good at what it does, but I find it a bit cumbersome and slows us down. Also, it you save something that is password protected into VC, chances are you’ll never be able to open it again. No-one told me that, which led to a nicely wasted 2 days on a DD report. Grrrrr

That's exactly what I wanted......a pm system with dms.......but I can't actually find one that tracks emails too

Thanks for your comments.....I'll add it to my list of queries for them

I think AccountingHub does that, but not looked into it yet (it’ll be on my list in Feb). I might be wrong, but I think that it’s new to the market ie untested I’d not heard of it before the CEO connected with me on LinkedIn.

Yes I have trialled it a while ago - it's very much like accountancy manager - has really good features for practice management but falls down on the document/email management side I felt - though maybe a contender if nothing more suitable. There's definately a gap in the market.

Hi there, maybe our technology at Dokka is what you are looking for?

Dokka a pre-accounting software that has:
• Smart document storage with advanced tools for collecting and retrieving documentation.
• Chat functionality between all players for problem resolving, and communication.

Dokka extracts financial information from receipts and invoices and machine-learning generated Bookkeeping entries are instantly ready for final approval by bookkeepers. The software learns the changes made by the bookkeepers and this is then applied to similar documents going forward.

You can take a look at www.dokka.me or drop me a mail if it sounds like something that could be of use to you and your team.
Take care.

In why way does this fit the requirements of this thread? It doesn’t - Dokka is a Bookkeeping software.
