Have now been authorised by new client to deal with VAT, PAYE, SA, CT etc etc. However client now does EC sales of services so an EC sales list needed. This doesn't appear as an option I can add as agent. Client has business tax account but hates it & hadn't used it for ages. Managed eventually to find the log in details & with my help he has requested an EC sales list via the Business tax account & then had to go through the hoops of putting the activation code in. So client is registered for the EC sales list. It appears though that several more hoops to jump through as in order for me to file online client has to do yet another agent authorisation which appears to only be able to be done via his business tax account and then we have the fun of the activation code yet again. Looks as though anyone can sign the paper EC sales list so this looks preferable (as his sales are large in value but few in number). Is there a way for an agent to register to be the EC sales list agent without needing the client to have the hassle of dealing with it through his business tax account?
