Endless calls/emails from software providers

Only me?

Didn't find your answer?

I get endless calls and emails from Xero, QB, FA etc I don't have time to "catchup" and "touchbase" and they get the hump when I'm too busy. Even got a threat from one company that we use!

[***] me off, I've got work to do, if I entertain a sales call for 30mins I have to work 30mins later.

I have a chap from Leicester hawking investigation insurance who buzzes my phone regularly and needlessly (not to mention pointlessly, as I would never in a million years do business with somebody that persistent.) Grrr!

But surely they are doing you a favour, spending their valuable time and paying for a call?

Agree completely
Add them up over a year and it could easily be a week of my time wasted

Not, not just you!

I'm completely hacked off with them too! :-(

I get even more incensed at the likes of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Freeagent ramming MTD down my and my clients throats! I will partake in MTD when it is mandatory and not one moment before!

I end up blocking them on my phone and via email in the end as if they don't get a reply on the phone they 'touch base' or 'reach out to me' (eek!) via email instead!!

If I recognise the number I routinely ignore them otherwise they get a bit annoyed when my only reply to their every question is "same as the last time we spoke"

Nowadays I ignore any phone call from a number I dont recognise. Any bona-fide caller will leave a message.

I don't like how Brightpay keep pushing Connect, I'm beginning to think I'm really not that valued a customer if I'm only buying the core product.

Stop being so nice!

I tell em firmly not to call, and it usually works for about 6 months or so or until you have a new "relationship manager" or some such like tosh.

Also just ask for discounts when they say "anything i can do for you?" They hate that.

I do get very hacked off by Xero insisting I waste an hour of time watching their promo-videos. its really really pathetic.

Cost
Seller can never talk about cost without referring to person B who must do a promo before discussing cost

Nope don't get any. Must be lucky. Then again I don't use any of the mentioned providers so maybe that's why.

Used to get spam called by a well know aml provider.

Now I just screen calls.

Oh tell a lie, did get hounded by the FSB to join up after a zoom call for a few months.

My best one is an email I get every week from a personalised rug manufacturer.

"did you manage to review my last email?" no John, just like I ignored your last 20 other emails, I still don't need a rug, ever.

The mats with logos? I get those too.

I'm still not sure whether Logomats are flogging wipe-your-feet mats or mouse-mats, but after many thousands of emails imploring me to buy one I can feel myself weakening - what a canny Christmas gift!

Hi Slim - if you'd like to tell me your email address I can let your account manager know you'd rather not be contacted. I'll message you. Thanks. -OG
