Extension to loss relief for companies

Didn't find your answer?

I have a company who has made a loss in the year to 30 June 2020. I attempted to file yesterday on IRIS but would only allow me to offset loss against 30 June 2019 profits. The previous period ended 30 June 2018 and started on 1 January 2017. The software would not allow me to do the three amended returns ended on 30 June 2018. Why is that since this period falls within the extended loss relief period?

It's because you are out of time to amend the old returns.

Make a stand alone claim:-

The easiest is to write to CT services, amazingly one of these we sent 2 weeks ago was processed yesterday, even got a confirmation call from HMRC to say it had been done!
