I have just started my bookkeeping business and been approached by a Sole Trader to do his books. He has set up a company delivering food. He has provided me with all the receipts including fuel. Can he claim on fuel receipts?
Many thanks.

'Approached by a sole trader'
'Who has set up a company'
'Can he claim on fuel receipts'
What he can claim depends on what capacity he is claiming.
You need to get your facts straight and provide more information.

And, with the greatest respect, be specific.
In other words, is the new prospect a sole trader, as you suggest or, a new (limited liability) company, as you might also be suggesting?
There are distinct differences in the status of these entities and, you'll certainly find on here, these issues are important considerations.
Also, provide as much "detail" as you can, so that the members don't have to; decipher or assume elements of the enquiry.
Also be ready for some (sometimes) stern and honest replies. You'll soon form a thick skin!
