Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

What software do you use for financial projections? I'm using a REALLY old system along with excel but would like to invest into a new system.

thanks.

Nothing to do with OP's post ... but I seem to have learned something from your above URLs (which presumably you were aware of)?
Adding ?amp to the end of the text string for an Any Answers link delivers a cut-down version of the results page (without any of the advertising or other extraneous bits'n'pieces).
Thanks for the tip!

Way beyond my tech knowledge so can claim no credit! Just cut and pasted the links I found.

Well it definitely works (although I've no idea why) ... try it on this page - i.e. go to your search bar and click your mouse at the end of where it says ... https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/any-answers/financial-projections-software then type in &amp and hit CR.
Voila - a clean version of the page without all the advertising clutter!

Catch is the odd word changing to French, pourquoi?

Parce que je ne pense pas dans une seule langue et quelquefois j'oublie que tout le monde ne parle pas français.

Actually I was more expecting you to correct my omission of the accent in voilà!

Any idea as to the purpose of the de-cluttered page style?

No idea, but that may be because I am stunned by your French, after four years of study at secondary followed by an interval of some 46 years my "pourquoi" was circa 5% of my remaining vocabulary.

While languages and music resided within both my parents, and my three sisters are fluent in a variety of languages ( two of them did degrees in modern languages) somehow both skills passed me by, my piano playing over 52-53 years has reduced itself to the one fingered speed of my typing and my foreign language skills are now non existent. (They were not much at school, I scraped a C at O Grade which was fortunate as back then Edinburgh required a pass at O Grade in a foreign language for entry into any degree course at the university)

I've always believed that motivation (rather than necessity) is the mother of invention ... my slightly longer (6 years of one French lesson/week) hadn't led me to believe that I could converse in it. Until in 1968, on a school day-trip to Paris, I was approached by the most gorgeous dolly-bird (can you still say that?) armed with a clipboard.
She only spoke French and I wasn't about to disabuse her of any assumption that my linguistic skills were up to muster (although I harboured illusions of another sort) ... and, to my surprise, found a different language flowing out of my mouth without effort!

On t'other hand, I suspect your sisters had a native aptitude for languages (whilst you spread your allocation of learning efforts across a broader, not necessarily academic, curriculum)? I certainly did after O levels, which is why they were the last time I got straight As in anything (and didn't even bother with University).

Some good suggestions of specialist software already but what is suitable will depend heavily on the size of your organisation, your stage of growth and most importantly the data you can get out of your existing software. By the sounds of things, the latter is going to cause an issue and limit how far you can go with any tool. Indeed some modern accounting/finance software has this functionality built-in. I'd be happy to explain further how www.aqilla.com could help if you're interested. I'll send you a DM with my details if you'd like to discuss further
