First Tier Tax Tribunal Hearing

First Tier Tax Tribunal Hearing

Didn't find your answer?

Would anyone know where you can find a list of forthcoming First Tier Tax Tribunal Hearings? I've searched on and the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary website to no avail.

I'd be really interest to go along and see the procedures as we have an appeal in with HMRC which may potentially be put to the FTT.

Thanks in advance.

Can you attend?

I didn't think this type of occasion was available to the general public.

Certainly when it was the General Commissioners you were not allowed to watch - sadly, despite being in charge of managing the hearings for my employer, I never managed to stall a case long enough to get into a hearing.

FTT listing

I do not know of any such listing. But most substantive Hearings (as opposed to other Applications, etc) are public Hearings. You could ring the Tribunal Centre to check the venue for Hearings on a day you wish to attend. London Hearings are held at a number of venues at present.

Thank you both.

Articles I have read, and the explanatory booklets provided, indicate that the hearings are public, unless it has been agreed specifically to sit in private (for instance if there was a strong requirement for anonymity)

I will have a look for a telephone number and see what I can find out.
