Flexi-furlough for termly staff

How to calculate flexi-furlough for termly staff, paid monthly salary

Didn't find your answer?

I've got a member of staff that is contracted to work term time only, but their pay has been averaged out over the academic year (it's still above minimum wage before anyone asks). This has not been a problem while they were on full time furlough but in September they will be returning part time. This has given me the problem of how to calculate their normal hours with regard to claiming under CJRS. Do I use their term time contracted hours or their average hours over the year?

They're on holiday all month, are they not ? It's no different to a run-of-the-mill employee working 46.4 weeks and on holiday 5.6 weeks and having his pay "averaged" over all 52 weeks.

Thanks. I was hoping someone would say this as this calculation is far easier. Think I was doubting myself again.
