Form SA1 is back online

Registration for self-assessment

Didn't find your answer?

HMRC appear to have fixed one of their problems - the structured e-mail to register for self-assessment (if you are not self-employed) is available again.

Pity about responses to RTI submissions - they are still outstanding.

Thanks Euan. We seem to be getting RTI responses OK now.

Darn it they left in that ridiculous compulsory field to disclose the date of moving into your current home.

Haha OMG it seems to have disappeared again!!

This link:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/self-assessment-register-for-...

used to provide two options: a "fill in, print, sign and post" version and a "structured email via webpage".

Then the structured email link was broken, but the link remained available on the web page.

Then they fixed the broken link and as Euan mentioned it was all back to normal.

But now they have removed the link to the structured email version from the web page altogether.

The fill in and print version is still there, but hey ho, back to the stone age I guess.

With kind regards

Clint Westwood

I see this is still the case. What gives? Can't believe we've gone back to having to fill in and post a form to an organisation who don't even look inside their envelopes for a month or more...

Just spent a fair amount of time arguing with HMRC about the online form. She gave us various different weblinks, the 5th one she gave us, it was finally there:
https://www.gov.uk/tax-relief-for-employees/how-to-claim
Incase you need it, that's the only way to get to it online at the moment, logical or what!

Hi Euan,

I know this is a late post, but I wanted to ask you if you complete these for clients, or ask your clients to complete?

At the bottom of the form, it seems to suggest that I can put my name and submit on behalf of my client.

Do you agree with me, or do your clients submit rather than you?

Thanks
Oliver
