Foster Care Weekly Qualifying Amount

Hi all, I have recently taken on a client who is a respite foster carer. The children generally stay with her anywhere between 2 days and 2 weeks. Am I correct in thinking that even if a child stays with her for two days of a week she will still be entitled to the full qualifing amount for that week for that particular child?  Thank you.

ITTOIA 2005 s 811 (4):
If an individual provides [qualifying care for an adult or child]1 during an income period for only part of a week, the part is treated as a whole week.

ITTOIA 2005 s 811 (6): A week is a period of 7 days beginning with a Monday.

If the two days are Sunday and Monday, that is two weeks.

Having acted for quite a few foster parents it has now become clear that having your own kids is a mugs game.

Instead, foster from young, get paid, then adopt just before the tax-free gravy train squeals to a halt.
