Free Accounts Package

Free Accounts Package

Hello all,

Does anyone have any recommendations for free accounting packages to use? I am looking for a package that can raise invoices (adjustable templates), record expenses and produce income statements etc.

I used to use QuickBooks Simple Start 2010, which was a free download from intuit website. This worked well and did everything I required. However, I had to change laptops recently and QuickBooks 2010 doesn't work with Windows 8. You have to buy the new 2013 version for over £100.

As my business is small, 1-2 invoices a month and it is a side job I don't want to spend any money on an accounts package.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Richard

Turbocash

I use Turbocash for some side job work.  I also raise very few invoices, but invoice templaes are customisable, expenses go in, there are simple but effective reporting facilities, and it can probably do more but I have no need to go looking!  The software isn't all that up to date I don't think (it's open source) and it is very rough and ready, but it works for me.  I think there is a version 4.x but I'm on version 3.75 (I think) and it's very stable.  Runs on Windows 8 for me (run as administrator).

Adminsoft Accounts

We use free no catch Adminsoft Accounts extensive package with friendly user interface for majority of the clients who don't want the commercial software. Haven't been a problem at all.

Google and download.
