furlough employees - working in emergency cases?

Can furlough employees cover for emergency cases

Didn't find your answer?

We are a refrigeration service firm

we have to put employees onto furlough scheme

however, as we service food production factories, we may be called in for emergencies

if our employees work for these emergencies – does that affect furlough scheme

Image is of a pin up style woman in a red dress with some of her skirt caught in the filing cabinet. She looks surprised.

There's not enough detail out yet for anyone to answer this, I shouldn't have thought. Sit tight, I'm sure more info will come out in due course.

A worker who comes in to work is not furloughed. The government may allow dispensation for some cases like yours, but by the broad definition of the term this would not be allowed. We're still waiting on detail though.
