Furlough pay calc

Didn't find your answer?

When calculating monthly furlough pay, can you change the basis of calculation for each month for each employee. For example if in May furlough pay was based on average salary for 2019/20,  in June can furlough pay be based on June 2019 salary if it results in a higher claim? i.e. can you mix and match to get the best result or do you have to stick to the same method for each employee for every month?

It's what you're supposed to do.

Not only 'can' you, I'm pretty sure you're 'supposed' to.

Edit: already confirmed by poster above (that'll teach me to go and make a sandwich before submitting an answer)

It's what you're meant to do if they're variable rate employees. For fixed rate employees, it's February 2020.

Sort of.

Provided you don't see it as something you can choose to do.
