I've been told if you want to apply for both March and April furlough payments on Monday you need to have filed your April RTI before Monday - is this correct?

Who has told you that? Link?I've been told if you want to apply for both March and April furlough payments on Monday you need to have filed your April RTI before Monday - is this correct?
The guidance says "You should make your claim using the amounts in your payroll - either shortly before or during running payroll. Claims can be backdated until the 1 March where employees have already been furloughed." If you can claim before running payroll, there can't be a requirement that RTI has already been submitted because you can't do that until after the payroll has been run.
I dunno.
I would've thought you needed to at least confirm that folk were actually on furlough before you claimed.
What if you claim and them call them into work before the end of the month ? I've already had two employers ditch furlough and return to working as normal.
Still, if you can claim in advance, it's a welcome concession.
But I'm still surprised.
And furlough payments can be claimed every three weeks whereas all my payrolls are monthly and, by the nature of the word "month" are only run once a month!

Why don't you just claim every month ?
