I’ve been receiving GoCardless payments for about a month. One of my clients has recently ‘signed’ their mandate (Directli isn’t showing the symbol that says it needs to be authorised) and I’m trying to collect for some overdue invoices (again, I’ve done this for other clients with no problem). When I clicked the “collect now” button Directli said payment day would be 26/2. It’s obviously 28/2 now and it’s still showing as “processing with the bank”.
GoCardless say it can take 3 days, but all of my other clients have been released the day after Directli shows the funds in “processing”.
Do different banks have different lead times (ie HSBC 3 days from 26/2 = 1/3), or do I need to be worried?
Whats other people’s experience?
Thanks

If this is a new client there is normally a longer time delay as the direct debit mandate needs to be arranged, checked etc then the monies collected and subsequently paid over to you. For a first time customer, this can delay things for a few days. Regardless of bank the processing time should be the same as they all go through the same system.
Have you checked your GoCardless dashboard as this will give you more info that the Directli one? It may well be that either the customer doesn't have the funds or mandate has been cancelled in the intervening period if my explanation above is incorrect.
Glad to see you have the funds now. I see you posted that update at 4pm... I have had a few instances where I've noticed that payout due on X day, but hasn't actually been paid until sometimes 4-5pm. Always gives me the impression that somebody is sat there thinking "I must pay out those cleared funds to ABC Accountants before I go home". I am sure this impression is wrong, but I am nevertheless intrigued.
Doesn't really bother me fwiw, just an observation.
