The old government gateway site www.gateway.gov.uk appears to have been closed down and now relocates to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/government-gateway-replacement-services-that....
Does anyone know where agents can create adminsitrator/assistant accounts below their ASA/old agent account? I can't see anything obvious at https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/agent-services-account.

For your old agent account, log in as normal with HMRC and from the menu on the left click "Your Account".
There should be a panel on the right for "Manage your team", under there is a link for Add or delete team members which will allow you to administer the assistant accounts.
As for your ASA, I have no idea if the same functionality exists or, if it does, how to access it.

It does, but strangely you use the normal HMRC login page to get to the same functionality. My only hope with all the MTD stuff is that HMRC will sort our their UX which is a blend of awfulness beyond compare.
This just gets worse . the year when HMRC has a really good success rate of filing for SA they decide to [***] it all up. Ridiculous !
This functionality has been there for months, along with a warning on the gateway site that it's closing down, it's not a recent change.
