Cheers, Lion!

But real Lancashire is a big place, although granted not as big as *them lot* on t’other side, and Manchester really drags down the county’s rep on the precipitation front.

Or maybe it just seems normal to me....

I suspect you become inured to the constant inundation.
My wife was from Nelson & Colne, so I visited the in-laws (in mid-summer, in mid-winter and all points in between) for over 40 years ... and on only two occasions can I remember not being soaked through. Indeed many times you couldn't even see the top of Pendle Hill (to check on whereabouts of the witch) due to swirling mists.
But lovely people ...

I'm from the Lancashire coast myself but every school holiday was spent at my grandmother's in Clitheroe, the other side of Pendle from Colne and Nelson of course. I can't remember it being especially wet but my childhood memory (which could well be wrong) was that "your" side of the hill was indeed wetter.

Burnley Spurs postponed. White stuff prevailed.

I thought that was more prevalent amongst the WAGs?
