Might fly there on Hale & Pace's 'Yorkshire Airlines' that doesn't leave T'Leeds airport cos "If it ain't in Yorkshire it's not bloody well worth visiting"

Why was there never a South Riding?

Because Riding means 1/3. Hence you had North, East & West Riding.

There are - or were - South Ridings in both Lincolnshire and Co Tipperary.

Just a heads up - tomorrow is East Riding Day.
