Which reminds me

A bride on her wedding night says to her husband, "I must confess darling, I used to be a hooker."

He says, "That's a bit of a shock darling, but I must admit, I find it quite a turn on. Tell me about it."

She replies, "Well, my name was Dave, and I played for Wigan!"

He's always very cheerful no matter what life throws at him.

Tough little man, in a sport of big men. I can only wish him the best, albeit with some knowledge of what lies before him with foreboding.

Sorry, I've only just seen this thread and would like to reach out and thank you for this post @lionofludesch.

Rob truly is an amazing bloke! Fantastic RL player and always so positive - despite an illness that has seen him decline so far, and so fast!

Only met the bloke a few times during a stint of work at Headingley (early 2000's) but he genuinely was a "what you see is what you get" kind of guy! (Most RL players are - probably due to the salary cap not over inflating their egos!).

Even now, in the face of rapidly declining health, he has the courage and determination to champion the cause for MND.

It is indeed upsetting to see his decline, but heartwarming to see how his fellow team mates (and many former competitors) have rallied round - not only to raise money for MND charities (which is honourable) - but to support Rob, Lindsey and family (which underlines the respect they have for him).

Here's a belated toast to Rob Burrow Day!

Thanks again lionofludesch!
