Hi all,
A Milton Keynes based charity called Worktree offers young people support in working out their career aspirations, as well as providing employees with various remote volunteering opportunities in schools across the UK. The charity is sponsored by Xero and a few other local accountancy firms.
Is this something anyone has gotten involved with, or perhaps considered doing, as a means of encouraging more young people to look at accountancy as a career while giving back to the local community? Feel free to let us know in the comments or get in contact via direct message if you'd prefer.
Thank you.

I've not come across Worktree but get involved in working with schools and encouraging careers in accountancy as a STEM Ambassador. There are loads of great opportunities to get involved. https://www.stem.org.uk/stem-ambassadors
There are also great opportunities to work with schools via the Enterprise Adviser Network. https://www.careersandenterprise.co.uk/employers-volunteers/join-enterpr...
even if you do not want to join you can contact the local adviser and help with events including describing your role or running a workshop.
