Has anyone used Glide/Senta/Accountancy Manager?

Looking at options that would suit some older clients too....

Didn't find your answer?

Not all my clients have email/want to use emails.  It seems that accountancy manager doesn't cater for that option.

Going to check out Senta later.

Just wondering about the actual experience people have had with these products.

We use Glide and really like it - ask them for a demo.

Need to set it up at first, but after that it is intuitive

Yes I have the same issue with maybe 50/50 clients being email/letter ( reflects age profile).
You could simply do a client list export from AM and then use mailmerge and Word to produce letters - a bit clunky but can be done. It would be much better of course if AM had a facility to produce a downloadable word doc similar to its ability to generate emails.
Senta can generate word docs but it works best for template documents that wont change . Overall though Senta is more complex than AM to setup ( if more flexible as a result).
Last time I looked at Glide it was very focused on workflow as opposed to other features like portals etc - as leicsred says requires setup time but very flexible if you are prepared to put in the time. Pricing model seems more geared to multi-user firms rather than very small practices ( not sure which you are)

We are quite small- 15 staff in total.
The other thing that I like about glide is that it integrates with CCH so less duplication of data.
I'm also not sure how Senta or AM will fit with virtual cabinet which is our paperless office. It looks like they would like to replace it but they don't seem as good on that point.

We currently use Glide. Great for workflow, automated emails and texts and timesheet recording.

We are however also looking to move to Senta as will do all the above (except timesheet recording) but also have the added facility of client portal, electronic signature, document management (we currently use Docusoft which is similar to Virtual Cabinet but as all emails in and out are saved to Senta you could do away with Virtual Cabinet if using Senta). Plus few other bits and pieces eg structured folders which means we could save everything in Senta rather than on server.

Takes a bit understanding how to set up Senta and the relationship between services, jobs, tasks etc. Currently in the stage of testing Senta and trialling with a few clients.

It’s Jonathan here from AccountancyManager. Some client’s indeed don’t want to use email. In situations like this we would recommend that you continue to service the client in the manner that best suits them and use the software to benefit from the practice management features, such as helpful task list and update the client timeline with the outcome of the correspondence.

Our support team have experience in assisting users in similar situations and would be happy to discuss this further with you. If this is of interest please feel free to contact us on 01926 355 366 or [email protected]
