Unable to view past VAT returns from HMRC agent access for clients

Unable to view past vat returns from HMRC agent access under VAT section.  When I click on the 'view submitted return' or 'submit returns' options, the system kicks you out asking for agent login again, and it loops as nothing happens once you try to re-login.  I'm keen to know if this is to do with my specific agent login credentials or if this is a wide spread issue affecting all agents currently?  Thanks

This issue is, I believe, now in it's third day - already mentioned on this forum in past day or two.

The problem is at HMRC end of the process.

However when I last looked at HMRC's online service availability / issues it was not mentioned as an issue.

See several threads already. (Online filing of VAT Returns down even still appears on the first page of queries)

Known issue. Being addressed. Been the same for over a day. Expected fix a couple of days.

Should be worth staying home for - the launch of MTD (making tax difficult)?

This once respected Government agency is a complete and utter joke and, unfit for purpose. The agency has become a breeding ground for management honours and, little else.

Thanks to all who have seen/responded to my post (sorry I should have already checked the past threads on this same issue before wasting everyones' time here). But with this downtime incident and many more to come based on the past performance, it'll be interesting to see how the MTD will be implemented in the next tax year.....

And, guess what? All of their chatline advisers are busy?

"Please try later". Of course, we've nothing else to ******* do. And, of course, pressures of work are not a reasonable excuse...............................

I have just been able to submit a VAT return through my agent login - so fingers crossed, the problems are now resolved................
