HMRC Agent Registration

I am trying to register with HMRC as an Agent

Didn't find your answer?

Hi there

I am looking for some advice please as i am getting nowhere with the HMRC.

I registered online with the HMRC nearly 5 weeks ago to become an agent, i have been waiting on my activation code coming through the post and was told by the HMRC that it would take up to 28 days (this has now passed).  I have now been told that i cant register online to be an agent and i have to apply for this service in writing!

Can anyone please help me out with the correct information please :)

Yes you have to write to the Agent Maintainer team with your trading details etc. Best to write on headed note paper and ensure you include information about who is the main contact and that you wish to be recognised as an agent. Make sure you include details of the tax services that you wish to provide (SA/CT etc). The address to write to is on the HMRC website.

The process is likely to take some time.
