Today have two different companies HMRC not permitting to file CT600 using TaxCalc, one is a 31.3.23 YE so no rush, the other is a 31.12.22 YE so a pain as looks like I will need to come in tomorrow and try again if I cannot lodge today. (though can hang on until after 6.00 see if it quietens down and accepts)
Is this just me or are others struggling?

this is geting pretty standard most of the time if you give up you will get an email saying its been received and if you check online in a a day or two you should find out return has been processed. I cant remember it not having resolved itself albeit i always double check.
Did the trial submission work ??? If it did then you should get an e-mail from HMRC accepting the full submission even though you will not see it in Taxcalc
i did one yesterday and received email 11.30pm so time delay till today should not be unexpected in that regard
In case anyone else is having this problem, yesterday's Agent Update contained this -
"Corporation Tax CT600 delays in receiving return submission responses:
We are aware that some companies have been experiencing issues in filing their CT600 returns. The initial issue is affecting a small number of larger, more complex submissions. You may find there is a delay in receiving your return submission confirmation response when submitting your CT600 form online.
If you do not receive your online submission response after 48 hours you should contact the online service helpdesk. When contacting us ensure you leave a contact name and number so we can call you back and support you through how to refile your CT return.
We are working to resolve this issue and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

What nonsense - this has been an ongoing issue for billy basic companies for months - no biggie as receipt comes through later. It would be nice if they didnt make feeble excuses that dont match reality though.
Quite.
Not quite sure why I continue to read Agent Updates when I don't believe most of what HMRC print in there ... certainly not their veiled excuses (which never admit to culpability), and increasingly not their guidance (aka biased interpretation to suit their own objectives).
I think that lying (sorry 'misdirection') has become second-nature to them now, so they do it without thinking - even when it's not necessary.
